Tiananmen Square: Tim Walz previously claimed that he was in China on June 4, 1989 to WITNESS the student uprising against the government. He explained to Congress and on numerous radio shows and occasions that he was there. When pressed on the issue, he refused to admit that he lied. He said he gets caught up in the rhetoric.
